is a quote from an article in the German Transport News - die
Deutsche Verkehrszeitung (DVZ, No. 54/118 of 04.10.2000):
“[...]Following
rulings for contravening present laws, the penalties for inadequate
load securing are up to € 75.- per incident and up to three penalty
points at the transport central office in Flensburg. This applies
to loaders and drivers. Should this result in injuries to persons,
then follow the sanctions of criminal law. Subsequently penalties
of imprisonment can be applied of up to five years.[...]”.
Therefore
legally correct load securing carried out by trained staff is
essential!
Damages
resulting from improper load securing can void insurance coverage
totally, or in part!
